A WALK ON THE BADO SIDE......

PALISADES

So last weekend we went to the Palisades with the whole fam! (except Teresa she had to teach) We had a great time! We went up a day earlier than everyone and played lasso golf and played at the park and also did a little fishin......no catch tho!

The next day everyone else came and the boys went and played some golf. We played cards and yahtzee. Austin and Ryan ate some grasshoppers, Ryan didn't quite get it down!!!

The next day we went on an awesome 4 wheeling ride about 3 hours. Some rocks, some water, and lots of dirt!!! Also, Tyson, Averrey and Ryan went canoeing and fishing. Caught a few but then released them. Chris, Austin, Ryan and Spencer paddled the float boat around the lake. Aleena, Daicia, JT, and me paddle boated around the lake! We had a blast!

My mom has a friend that has a log cabin house up there and her husband Harold took us on a long 4 wheeling ride through the mountains to a lookout point that you could see the golf course and Gunnison reservoir through the mountains to Manti up the mountain to a water run off where you can get fresh water, to a cabin that was built by J.R. Neilson (not sure who that is) with a great view, down a scary rocky mountain side to come down on our 4 wheelers and back to our camp, where the end result was....DIRT! It was a GREAT ride! We took all the kids with us on this ride. Tyson tied Tayvin to him with his jacket and he had a great time riding with daddy!

But I Saw My Sisters Do It!

So Averrey and Daicia were painting their toe nails and I happened to take a little snoozer for about 15-20 minutes and next thing I know there he was painting his toe nails, his legs, my tile (thank goodness not the carpet) and the kitchen table! WOW WHAT A MESS! After half the bottle of finger nail polish remover and still a little on his legs I finally removed it! Let's just say they are all FIRED from painting nails in my house!

SO MUCH RED!!!!

After days and hours of waiting and watching KSL we finally got tickets to go to the Utah vs Pitts game! We went up to the tailgate party that Ed and Will put together with their Utah Motorhome met lots of people, had some great food and went to the game. We sat on the north end zone where all the action was at! I haven't been to a Utes game for along time and it was so AWESOME to see how many people were there and of course wearing RED! The bleachers were covered with RED! I loved it! The game went into OT and Pittsburgh had the ball and we got the interception and WON THE GAME! It was so cool!

29.. Having someone play with your hair.

32. Road trips with friends.
33.. Swinging on swings.
34. Making chocolate chip cookies.
35. Having your friends send you homemade cookies.
36.. Holding hands with someone you care about.
37... Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change.
38. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much desired present from you.
39. Watching the sunrise.
40. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.
41. Knowing that somebody misses you..
42. Getting a hug from someone you care about deeply.
43. Knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think.

THE POLICEMAN

The Policeman stood and faced God, which always must come to pass. He Hoped his shoes were shining. Just brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoudlers and said, "No, Lord I guess I ain't, because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I've been violent, because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny, that wasn't mine to keep, I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got to steep.
And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here, They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had to much, but if you don't I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod. As the policeman waited quielty, for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman, you've borne your burdens well. Come walk the beat on Heaven's streets, youv'e done your time in hell."
