A WALK ON THE BADO SIDE......: FALL FESTIVAL PLAY DATE

On Saturday Michelle planned a play date at the Fall Festival at The District. The kids got to wear their costume and loved every second of it! (well except Tayvin). I kind of figured that would be how he was. My mom and I spent all this time making Tayvin's Cookie Monster outfit and I got a few pictures and there went the hat! (atleast I got a few pics) We met at McDonalds for lunch but while we were waiting for everyone I took some pictures of Averrey pretending to scare Daicia:

We ate lunch and the kids played in the play area and Averrey scared a few kids!!! Of course she loved every minute of it!!!

Then we went over to the District for the Fall Festival where the kids got to Trick or Treat, paint pumpkins, see all sorts of cool costume, have a cookie and hot chocolate and back for some more trick or treating! We had so much fun! Thanks Michelle for planning such a great play date!

37... Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change.
38. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much desired present from you.

40. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.

THE POLICEMAN

The Policeman stood and faced God, which always must come to pass. He Hoped his shoes were shining. Just brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoudlers and said, "No, Lord I guess I ain't, because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I've been violent, because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny, that wasn't mine to keep, I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got to steep.
And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here, They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had to much, but if you don't I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod. As the policeman waited quielty, for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman, you've borne your burdens well. Come walk the beat on Heaven's streets, youv'e done your time in hell."
