A WALK ON THE BADO SIDE......: Mt. Timpanogos Hike

Well we almost made it to the top.......What an adventure!!!! There was a chance of rain but we decided to see if we could make it anyway. We started at 9:00 and went all the way up til about 2 miles away from the top. We stopped to have some lunch and the clouds rolled in right by us blew some COLD wind and then it started to rain hard. We put ponchos on, packed up and headed down the mountain to some shelter under some big trees. We sat there for about 20 minutes freezing! Then we decided to make a run for it and we didn't stop until we reached the bottom! It was definitely an adventure all of us will never forget! It was beautiful up there and we had alot of fun!

37... Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change.
38. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much desired present from you.

40. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.
41. Knowing that somebody misses you..

THE POLICEMAN

The Policeman stood and faced God, which always must come to pass. He Hoped his shoes were shining. Just brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoudlers and said, "No, Lord I guess I ain't, because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I've been violent, because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny, that wasn't mine to keep, I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got to steep.
And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here, They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had to much, but if you don't I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod. As the policeman waited quielty, for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman, you've borne your burdens well. Come walk the beat on Heaven's streets, youv'e done your time in hell."
